Sittercity has connected parents with the best babysitters for over ten years. Every day, over 3,000 new sitters join our service to provide the best childcare across the United States. As a Chicago Chime Recruiter, you will work closely with the Chime brand within Sittercity. While Sittercity is more established, Chime is in start-up mode. In early 2016, Sittercity launched Chime, a new, 21st century babysitting service that's now available in NYC, Chicago, Boston and DC. As a Chime Recruiter, you’ll be helping us build out our sitter team for Chime. Your key responsibilities will include web interviews with Chime sitter candidates, hearing about the sitters’ childcare experience and assessing whether the sitter would be a good fit for our platform. Your goal is to find sitters that would be a perfect match with Chime families.

This is a part-time role, averaging 30 hours / 4 days per week, with scheduling flexibility within the week.

You will play an integral part of our Chime growth. You’re an independent and responsible individual who is eager to learn about our business and work hard. What you’ll do

  • Manage pre-interview communication between Chime and sitter candidates
  • Hold video interviews with Chime sitter candidates
  • Work closely with our Chime Sitter Community team, keeping us updated on recruiting progress and be able to clearly communicate recruiting decision-making
  • Become knowledgeable about our business and be able to speak to what makes Chime great
  • Work from our Chime office space in Chicago (20 W. Kinzie)

  • A passion for Chime ( & and what we’re all about
  • A positive and upbeat attitude; you can talk to anyone and are excited about getting others excited!
  • Self-motivated and you’re comfortable learning new tools and processes
  • Ability to work independently and you are always keeping an eye out for ways to lend a hand
  • Previous childcare experience is a plus! 
  • Ability to work 4 days, up to 30 hours a week
